Beauty review Friday!

Hola amigos,

I wanted to share a review on some High end mascaras I've been trying out. I feel like I've tried them out long enough to form a proper opinion on them.

So let's get right to it!

First we have the Tarte gifted amazonian clay mascara. Here I have the deluxe sample sizes but the tarte mascara retails for $19.00 @ Sephora and Ulta stores and websites. In all honesty I find it quite pricey for a mascara since there are drugstore brands for much less in price and work amazingly. However that being said I very much enjoyed this mascara in particular. The brush end was perfect me, as I prefer thinner mascara wands due to the fact that I have very thin and short lashes so Thicker mascara brushes do nothing for me. I liked the formula on this one. It did not flake on me but it did not last all day on me. Which is why I always wear waterproof mascaras.
I give this mascara an: A-
Pros: good formula not too wet not too dry, no flaking, good brush end.
Cons: Price, not waterproof

Next we have the "They're Real" By: Benefit retails for $23.00
I really enjoyed the formula all though it again did not last all day and it was very rich in pigmentation. The brush end was my favorite part to it. As you can see in the picture it is pointed at the end with extra bristles to help you get those hard to reach lashes. I loved that! Would I purchase the full size product? No! Only because I have to wear waterproof formulas and they do not offer a waterproof option.
I give this product an: A-
Pros: pigmentation, brush end.
Cons: Price, not waterproof

Lastly we have the "BAD gal lash" By: Benefit retails for $19.00
I don't even know where to begin with this one. It was definitely a waste of money for me. For starters it is a very dry formula and again not waterproof. It flaked like hell and pretty much completely flaked off by the end of the day.
I give this product an: F
Pros: N/A
Cons: Price, dry formula, flaking, not waterproof

Please remember that these are simply my personal opinions on the products and just because the product didn't work for me does not mean it won't work for you. Everyone has different skin and different reactions to products. So if one of these if your favorite please don't be upset if I bashed it.

I hope you enjoyed this product review and stay tuned for more upcoming reviews. Don't forget to check out the blog contest and the Valentines Day series...
Wishing you all an awesome weekend!

Valentines Day Series: Dark & Sexy!

Hello my lovely followers,
I hope you are all doing well! I wanted to share this look I created for the Valentines Day series. This look is definitely dark and has a lot more blending involved but so worth the extra work. I've included two lip options so you can either go with a nude lip color and keep the focus on the eyes or add a bright pink/magenta and make it a completely bold " Bam in yo face" look. LoL Which ever lip option you choose will look great! Of course, you can also pair it with a berry colored lip if you prefer a darker lip. So let's get right into the pictorial. Hope you all enjoy this look and please do share your re-creations with me!

Let's start off with the products used to create this look:

This look is actually pretty simple to re-create all you need to do is simply BLEND, BLEND, BLEND! I hope you like the look I created for you and stay tuned for more. No matter what look you decide to go for this Valentines Day always remember being with your loved ones is what matters. Looks fade but love stays!

Product Review: Jordan Essentials Bath and Body

Hello my lovely readers,

I wanted to share another product review with you. Man I must be on fire this week because this is the third review. LoL
I was lucky enough to make a new friend through and it just so happens that she has her own business and works with this awesome company called Jordan Essentials Bath and Body. They are an all natural company with amazing products. Brooke was kind enough to send me the " Sea Spa hand and body lotion."

So let's start off this review with the description and prices the company has listed for this product.

"Enjoy the benefits of Shea butter and sunflower oil in a light lotion. Enriched with silk proteins, sunflower oil, and aloe, your skin will feel like silk. This is a perfect everyday lotion"
This lotion is available in 10 different fragrances and two sizes, the travel 2oz ($6.00-8.00) the 9oz. ($18.00-22.00)

I personally definitely have to agree with the claims the company has listed in the product description, It is the perfect everyday lotion. Since the day I received it I have only been using this product and I am in LOVE.  When you open up the bottle to apply it, it literally smells like heaven in a bottle. It is so smooth and hydrating. As someone who suffers from very dry hands all year long this has replaced my curel lotion that I have been using for years. One key point I would like to convey is the thickness of this product.

This lotion is so thick you literally only need a small amount. A little goes a very long way. Therefore it will last longer and I love products that will give me more bang for my buck. All in all I give this product an A++

You definitely have to check her online store and her fan page to check out more of the products available from them. Don't forget to LIKE her facebook page to get updates for all the products.

Product Review: NYX Butter Glosses

Hello readers,

So I know these have been out for a bit and I did purchase them when they first appeared on the market but never got around to actually using them enough to form a good opinion on them. So I finally got around to using them for a bit and here goes.
I don't love them but I don't hate them! They are very pigmented and I prefer to wear them on their own with no other lip products, they are not sticky at all. However the only thing I wasn't too thrilled with were the scents. I only have two of them and let me say they don't stink by any means but the ones I picked up were a little too sweet for me. The scent does wear off after a bit so it's not too big of a deal.
All in all I'm giving them an A-

I tried to take some pictures of swatches for y'all but for some reason my lighting kept washing them out and made them look like the same color. But these glosses are very affordable. Can be found at Ulta stores and Definitely worth a try if you like pigmented glosses...

Wishing you all a great day full of Awesome sauce!

Valentines Day Makeup Series: Sweetheart Look

Hola my lovely readers,

We are rapidly approaching February and I thought it would be a good idea to share a series of makeup looks that I created that would look great with any outfit you wear on this upcoming Valentines day. Within the next few weeks I will be posting a few looks for you all. From a sweet soft and sparkly look to a sexy and sultry smoky look and a few others that I am still working on. So I figured I'd kick off the series with my sweet & subtle look with a few different lip color options. I also tried to make this look as affordable and easy as possible. So let's get started:

All products used:

In the following picture I show you how I achieved the look the only thing I forgot to include is how I completed the eyes but its a simple fix. After I applied the crease colors and blended them out I used the Color Tattoo by Maybelline in Barely Branded and using my ring finger I dabbed a thin layer of it onto my lid as a base and then topped that off with the Glitter Eye Top Coat in Fairy Princess by Ulta, added my eyeliner by essence and mascara. You can add false lashes to this look to make it even more glamorous but the idea of this look was to keep it sweet and simple so I opted to not add lashes.

Hope you enjoyed this look! Please don't forget to shoot me a comment and subscribe!

Monday Product Reviews:

Happy Monday everyone,

Today I wanted to review for you the e.l.f. Matte Lip colors. I've had two of them for a while now but I recently added a few more of them to my collection. Let me just say that I LOVE them! They are very nicely pigmented and pretty long lasting. I get at least a good two- three hours of wear out of them before I have to re-apply. I have to admit they are a little drying to the lips as most Matte lip products are of course but nothing too bad that I would stop the usage of them. I do wish they had more colors to pick from and I believe I am missing one of them but the one I'm missing is more on the brownish side which is not really a lip color I reach for quite often. All in all I would give this product grade: A - (only because I wish they had more colors.)

You can find these at your local Target and/or Walmart or at for $3.00 each. At such an affordable price I believe it's worth the try!

Stay tuned for more upcoming product reviews!

Amazing brushes all under $10.00

Hey everyone,
If you don't already know I am an eBay fanatic and I'm always on there trying to find good deals and new things to try out. During one of my recent eBay searches I came across these makeup brushes that were very reminiscent to sigma, MAC, and real techniques brushes. So I figured why not try them since they were all extremely affordable and if I didn't like them I could just keep them for when I do special fx makeup or find some other use for them.  Once they arrived I was pleasantly surprised at how well made they are and the softness. I was washed them and tried them and I fell in love.

Product breakdown:

The blue brush reminds me of The Real Techniques By: Samantha Chapman from YouTube's Pixiwoo channel. This brush was not as soft at the real techniques brushes which I also own and LOVE. However the knock off was not bad at all. It was very well made, no shedding. They are synthetic bristles and all in all it's an ok brush if you're wanting a brush like that and want to get it as cheap as possible. I paid $2.45 with free shipping. Grade: A-

The two shading brushes with white hairs pictured reminds me of the MAC #239 and actually works just as well as the real MAC brush. Collects the product perfectly, sturdy, no shedding, and is definitely an item I will be purchasing more of. I paid $2.44 for 2 of them with free shipping.  Grade:A+

The Style Master set of 4 brushes was by far one of the best purchases I have ever made on eBay. These completely remind me of a set my Sigma Beauty. The set is superbly made, no shedding, synthetic bristles, and blended the shadows and cream products beautifully. I paid $5.10 with free shipping for the set. They also had several other sets that I am now dying to get my hands on and will definitely be purchasing and will post a full review on them. Grade: A++

In case you are interested in purchasing the brushes from the same sellers I bought from here are their eBay ids:

Hey everyone!

I cannot believe that it is Friday. Where did my week go? It feels as if my week flew right by. Anyway here are the products that I kept reaching for all week.
Let's start off with the non-beauty items. 2 products I could not live without this week or ever really! LoL
I really enjoyed these blends!

 Products: (From left to right)

- Polish by Nicka K New York (not sure on the name of the color) but its a gorgeous brick red.

-Triple Shine By Sally Hansen in Seanic It's a gorgeous emerald green glitter. If you follow me on instagram you can see the picture I posted of it.

- MAC Fix+  finishing mist. Pricey but so worth the money. I love to apply this after I've finished applying my makeup. Mostly during the colder months as my skin tends to get a little dryer.

- 3D Liquid Lustre By LORAC in Diamond. LOVE LOVE LOVE this product. It's an amazing product to help add a little sparkle to your everyday looks without looking like a disco ball. Apply a little, apply A LOT either way it looks great!

- elf Matte Lip Color in Rich Red. I can't get enough of this lip color. It's the perfect red!
