I know I haven't posted in a while but I have had a lot going on that I will definitely write about in a later post. But for now I thought I'd share with you all this makeup look that I've created using a beautiful pigment by MAC Cosmetics. In this look the spotlight is definitely on the Blue Brown pigment by MAC. Such a gorgeous and pigmented shade and unique if I do say so myself. I say unique due to the fact that this pigment gives off the effect of two colors obviously I'm sure you kinda figured that out by the name of it. How about I stop chit chatting about this wonderful pigment and just show you.
Let's start off with the products I used for the eyes to achieve this look.
Jordana 12 hr made to last eyeliner in Black Point. I used this liner to rim my upper and lower lash lines. To line my eye I used the L'oreal Super Slim Liquid liner in Black and as a base for my eyelid I used the Jordana 12 hr made to last eye shadow pencil in Continuous Almond. This has definitely become a must have for me.
For my eye look I used the an oldie but FAV eye shadow from MAC "Sorcery" I am not quite sure if this is still available anywhere as I believe it was a limited edition shadow from many moons ago. But I assure you it is a color that is easy to dupe. It is a purplish brown with somewhat of a redish undertone. The next e/s used is a hot pot by Coastal Scents in Maroon Berry. Next up is the star of this look the Blue Brown pigment by MAC.
Last but certainly not least is the Urban Decay Naked basics palette. I used the Naked 2 color as a transition color to help blend it all out. I also used the color Foxy as my brow bone and inner corner high light.
I love these KISS Lashes in the number 01 they are perfect for adding length and drama to your look without looking to over board..
Let me show you how you can achieve this look.
As always I start out with a primed lid. I added the Jordana e/s pencil in Almond as a base to make all of the colors appear more intensely.
I placed the E/S in Sorcery on the lid and added Maroon Berry to the outer corner and blended inward. I then blended it all out with the Naked 2 Shadow.
I then added my brow bone and inner corner highlight in Foxy out of the Naked Basics Palette. I finished it off by applying the Blue Brown pigment on the lid. I used the Pigment wet in order to give it a more foiled look. I did that by spraying my brush with the MAC fix + spray which is what I had on hand but you can certainly use water or any other setting spray you have around.
After all those steps I added winged liner, mascara and some false lashes to give it a more dramatic look.
Don't forget to rim your upper and lower water lines and smudge some of the maroon berry shadow under the lash line to tie the look together.
When you are finished you should have something that looks like this:
As for the rest of my face I used the Kat Von D Lock-it longwear foundation in Light 48 and to conceal and brighten I used the Graftobian Hi-def Glamour creme Warm Palette #1
To set the makeup under my eyes I used the essence all about matt fixing compact powder.
For my blush I used another lovely product from the Jordana Cosmetics line. The blush is called Touch of pink. It is the perfect peachy pink color. Perfect for spring!
The picture definitely washes the color out a bit. But I promise if you purchase this product you will not be disappointed.
As usual I like to give you a few different options as far as lip colors go. So here are a few options that I think would look great with this look.
The first is a lipstick my L.A. Colors in Wild Child, The second option is a beautiful neutral color By NYX Cosmetics in Pops. Next up is one of the new lipsticks by Maybelline from the nudes collection in Blushing Beige. Another option that is not pictured above is a gorgeous Red lipstick by Sephora in Made in Switzerland. I love not only the color but that fact that it is very long lasting and smells like candy. "YUM!"
L.A. Color "Wild Child" this color is much brighter in person.
Option # 2:
NYX Lip Butter in Pops
If you prefer a nude lip than I suggest Option #3:
Maybelline Nudes Collection Lipstick in Blushing Beige
If you are a more adventurous diva and like to pair a BOLD Lip with BOLD Eyes than this Red is definitely for you.
Sephora Brand lipstick in Made in Switzerland
